Nowadays identification cards come in a range of designs. Few are plain plastic cards that offer image and name to go with the face. Others can be more acute, depending on the requirements and desires of the company. The proximity card is one of a range of smart cards. These have constructed chips inside the cards which are capable of accumulating essential information as per human being’s necessities. Depending on the extent and operations of the company, there may be sections that require restricted admission to definite employees and team associates which depend completely on the security.
A proximity card can be designed in such a way that it is allowed for accessing any location considered obligatory. All cards will have an integral sanctioned code for certain locality. If workers or team members come up to the access area they will have to scan their card. If the mifare card is programmed for access to that particular area, they will be allowed to go in and if not they will not get entry. This is known as 'physical access control'. Proximity cards can also be used for “articulate access control'. This means that they give right of entry to computer systems. This permits company to manage which employees can get admission to a definite area of a computer network.
